The Grafimec bearings of Line SIM are exempt from oil and have solid permanent lubrication, they are ideal for critical combinations of load/speed and extremes of temperature, ensuring better conditions of sliding through the formation of permanent film that occurs right when starts the movement between a compound and the bearing.
The powder metallurgy allows the manufacture of a wide range of standard or special shaped mechanical components. This range is manufactured according to the ASTM B 438 Class II Type 1 regulations and comprises bronze alloys with tin or lead. The porous microstructure, typical of the sintering process, allows pervasion with several types of lubricating oils, making bearings self-lubricating.
The ASMT B 438 alloy typical composition is: 90.5% Cu and 9.5% Sn
